A major specialist in South-East Asia, Jérôme Kanapa returned from his travels with lots of film footage, including images of the Cambodian genocide and a special report on Vietnamese troops entering the American Embassy in Saigon, plus extremely rare shots of Pol Pot.

Jérôme Kanapa also donated his documentary on Martinique, Toutes les Joséphine ne sont pas Impératrices (Not all Josephines are Empresses), which portrays the day-to-day life of a female farmhand.
